I’m sure people will shorten it to Neph or something if they have trouble. Like people don’t usually say Instagram they’ll say Insta or IG or whatever. But I agree branding is key. Looks like that’s what they’re going with. Not sure why, maybe they love the mineral
As for the bugs I really hope they’re seeing these posts. Some great general digging and edge case testing
So glad that it has been clarified that there are minimum limits and those have been placed into the UI when opening troves. I still am having issues with the redeem functionality. Because of the .5 NPH fee when opening a trove for 90 NPH, it is impossible to redeem it fully. It also just flash glitches when I attempt a partial redeem. So does that truly require me going to the AMM to swap for .5 more NPH to close out my trove? Seems clunky
The dapp works better now that I know that it requires at least 90 nph to open one. Though when I tried to withdraw beam from my trove it denied every attempt besides retrieving the max amount which was about 7780 beam or something putting my trove at high risk. When I tried to deposit beam to the trove I got something similar, I tried to deposit 2000 or 3000 and I was denied but when I deposited 7000 it was accepted. I don’t understand the logic. This is probably not how it’s supposed to work
Nephrite team,
@magicpotatoes (from Telegram) made this logo for you and is offering it to the project. I find the result quite good as it gives a more professional (an reassuring) look than the current logo. I post it here, hoping that you will see this message and use it.
Ok. New versions sent. Light and Dark. Transparent backgrounds.

Imo, the problem with the beam / nephrite logo is the two rays. I can see why they are there but it does not look good at small scale and it’s difficult to print, say, on t-shirts or where solid colors are used / monochrome. There are also a few other projects with triangular logos.
I would suggest that the Beam Team hire brand professionals and stop trying to do this in-house or on the cheap. It is necessary to do this now while the DAO is not fully in swing because if you ask a DAO - a bunch of diverse individuals - you will ultimately get average returns and conservative decisions based on compromise and basic common values. Read: unexciting and cautious of change.
The Beam logo (and all the graphic charter) was actually made by professionals some time ago! You can see the details in the branding document in the Media Kit on www.beam.mw. It comes with all the variations of the logo, the rules of use, the color palette, the types and fonts, etc. There is even some presentation templates.

I think that the Beam color palette is particularly good : Anything we do with it (documents, websites, etc.) will automatically look good!
The dApp should show the oracle price it’s receiving
Definitely. That is surely a must have!
Yes, I’ve seen the mono version of the beam logo. Now scale it down - like the small icon version in the swaps - and tell me it looks distinct and nice.
@magicp0tato on Telegram did this version of the logo specifically for the Twitter profile picture. Resolution should be better using it.
Thanks!
The reason we went with the other one is that it also has the name on it.
Think you can add NEPHRITE on this one?
2023-10-17 : In the TROVE box, Collateral amount and debt amout decreased suddenly.
My deposit amount in the stability pool was 5506.04$ and remain correct but in the trove box $1000 of debt disappeared from a total of 5500$ and the “equivalent” (around 38207 beams) disappeared from the Collateral amount.
I made an addition 1000$ borrowing the 13/10/2023 14:13 (is it linked ?)
I did nothing except get rewards in the stability pool and my ICR was above to 150%.
This occured between blocks 2507751 and 2508535.
Then i started to try redeem functionnality (Redemption Box) like 100NPH by 100NPH and when i reached 500$ in redeem, an other 100$ disappeared from my dept and the “equivalent” in beam from the collateral amount.
Can nephrite team explain me what’s happened ?
Can anybody use the redeem box to change $NPH to Beams (sometimes better price than the NPH/Beam pool) ?
Everythings are ok !
I found the answer in this doc
“As a borrower, do I lose money if I’m redeemed against?
If your Trove is redeemed against, you do not incur a net loss. However, you will lose some of your ETH exposure. Your Trove’s collateral ratio will also improve after a redemption.”
Yes, that happened to me some time ago. I was playing with a ratio too low and at some point I was redeemed against (a redemption always starts with the lowest troves). Basically someone bought my debt. Some of my Beam was gone, but the corresponding NPH was now mine for good. At that time it was even a good thing because the Beam price was going down and the redemption actually protected me from further losses of value. I bought back my Beam later.
To acquire Beam, the redemption value can seem better than the DEX pool, but note that it has a fee that increases with volume. And it can become quite high.
